Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 - Arkansas MUW Alumnae Chapter fall luncheon: The Arkansas MUW Alumnae Chapter fall luncheon meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Best Impressions Restaurant, located at the Arkansas Arts Center, 501 E. Ninth St., Little Rock. We will meet in the Clark private dining room. The menu will include Classic Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and Tahitian Vanilla Cheesecake topped with Butterscotch Caramel Sauce and Chantilly Créme, plus coffee, iced tea and water. And as an added treat, a exhibition featuring the work of Mississippi native and creative genius Jim Henson will be on display in the Arts Center galleries for those alums and their guests who would like to view it following the luncheon. Here are some details: Jim Henson's Fantastic World Jim Henson's Fantastic World, an exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service and The Jim Henson Legacy, celebrates the incredibly prolific mind of Jim Henson (1936-90)* artist, puppeteer, film director and producer. The exhibition offers audiences a rare peek into the imagination of this brilliant innovator and creator of Kermit the Frog, Big Bird and other beloved characters. It features 100 original artworks, including drawings, cartoons and storyboards that illustrate Henson's talent as a storyteller and visionary. The Arkansas Chapter is proudly affiliated with the historic 118-year-old Mississippi University for Women Alumnae Association May 8th, 2007 - Hearing Date: The hearing was completed and the decision by the Judge is expected by yeard end 2007.
